The Wave

Das Gebiet der Coyote Buttes unterliegt einer Zugangsbeschränkung, welche vom BLM (Bureau of Land Management) auch überwacht wird. Maximal 20 Besucher erhalten in der Paria Contact Station morgens um Punkt 8 Uhr Ortszeit (Utah) einen Permit für den nächsten Tag.
Von den 20 Permits werden 10 im Internet http://paria.az.blm.gov 7 Monate im voraus vergeben .
Die restlichen 10 Permits werden unter allen Anwesenden genau um 8 Uhr (Zeitzonen beachten) verlost. Gruppen dürfen aus max. 4 Personen bestehen und nur eine Person einer Gruppe darf an der Verlosung teilnehmen. Sind weniger als 10 Personen anwesend, so erhält man auch noch zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt einen Permit.
Der Permit kostet 5 $ pro Person und beinhaltet auch die Parkerlaubnis für das Auto.
Die Paria Contact Station befindet sich an der Highway 89 zwischen Page und Kanab bei Milestone 21
